Will You Miss Love?

Only 18 days left until Takahashi Ai leaves Morning Musume. and her position as it’s leader for four years and two months. It seems that it’s only now getting to me that Momusu is about to lose just about all of its natural talent and flawlessness.

I’ve never been a big Ai-chan fan, she’s always just been there for me. It wasn’t until she became leader in Onna ni Sachi Are that I stopped seeing her as the shy, pretty and talented girl in Morning Musume and more as the powerful talent and inspiring leader she has become now.

I’ve never met anyone who has hated Ai, nor have I read comments here and there bashing her. I’ve never disliked anything about Ai(except her thighs), but I also have never truly loved Ai. I like Ai. It’s moments like these, when there’s less than 3 weeks left for her in Momusu that I start to get really attached to her.

Today I came upon a video of Ai-chan performing her solo song from their upcoming single on a live show. This video, where Ai was alone with no other members in sight, was where I really got to know the true Ai and not the leader Ai.

Her sparkling eyes, her bright, truly genuine smile, her spunk, her energy. This is what makes Ai the great leader that she is now. She’s been the best dancer and singer that has ever been in Morning Musume. and most possibly the best the group will ever have.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate what Ai-chan has done in H!P for almost an entire decade. Let’s appreciate her talent, her natural charm, her looks, her personality and most especially her leadership.

Morning Musume., will be a totally different group with you Ai. I’m really going to miss her.

The music honestly scared me. -_- I had no idea where it was coming from at first.

Yeah, I encounted that video too and was really surprised. I wonder what’s going to happen to MoMus now…I know that they are bringing in two new members though. And I wonder how the Risa-Sayu leadership will be like?

Oh by the way, can you change P.C.N to Candy Nine please? It’s the same url.

Risa Sayu will be interesting indeed. I’d much prefer Reina as leader with Sayu sub-leader to be honest. And kick out Risa. ;D Risa can make a good leader, but she just annoys me.

It’s going to be so different without Ai, I think it’ll take some time getting used to >.< I was so sad at the end of 'Kono Chikyuu no Heiwa' when Ai looked back at the camera and waved goodbye ;~; It's really the end of an era for Momusu. But, I'm sure they'll do just fine with Risa as the leader. Since, in vocal range, she and Ai weren't that much different and Risa sings almost as well as she can.

I also agree with Reina/Sayu leader/co-leadership, but I think Momusu needs Risa's vocal talent rn XD If you want to see Reina as leader (I know I do lol), you'll have to settle for Reina/Aika once Sayu graduates.

Lol Reina-Aika. xD That’s gonna be horrible. >_< But hey, maybe Aika would finally step up to the plate by then, although I feel she'd graduate even before Reina becomes leader. :\

You’re right, Aika might graduate before then, but I honestly think Reina-Aika is better than Reina-Mizuki D; Not that Mizuki is bad, it’s just that she doesn’t let her personality show that much. Reina and Aika would make an interesting tag-team for Momusu since they get along so well. Reina would be an eye-catching leader and Aika would provide the goofy genki-ness that everyone can make fun of her for XD

What’s the name of the song playing, btw? :o

Ai-chan’s been pulling all the weight for too long. MoMusu needs to learn how to stand on its own two feet again as a whole group, rather than some individuals bearing all the responsibility.

You can say that but untill Tanaka leaves/management decide to become fairer to the other members i just don’t think that will happen. Mizuki is a better singer than Riho but Riho is getting more screen time and line because she made a bigger impact during the auditions. Untill management change their way of thinking, i think the whole Aichan will leave will be felt by everyone.

In the end, it will always just be a popularity contest, talent has almost no power when deciding who will be the front girl. Examples being Linlin’s entire time in MM and being able to sing better than 90% of H!P but never got center time and Sayu who lacks any talent and is now being thrown to the front.

I dunno, it seems to me that back in the day (like, 2002-2004ish) there were more people showcased than thrown to the back, even when they had 15 members, but now it’s the exact opposite. H!P has the power to MAKE members popular, I think, and should really do so right now, because it’s critical to their survival.

I totally agree with you. People appeal is a must!

What’s up with bashing on Risa? She and Ai are the best singer (by that I mean like naturally best singers and not trying to act like they can sing like Reina) I really like Risa, please see her talent!
