Top 10 Worst H!P Covers
So you’ve got the best H!P covers, but what about the worst? Like any J-artist out there, the H!P girls are also victims of awful photoshopping, sucky concepts, terrible outfits and just ugly faces in general.
Thus I bring you 10 of the worst cover disasters in Hello! Project’s history. I’ll be ignoring stuff like Petit Best’s and other miscellaneous albums.
Morning Musume. – Naichau Kamo single (Limited Edition B)
Why it sucks: Oh god. It’s horrible!!! Not only were the outfits fugly(thank god you can’t see them fully), but Aika and Linlin look pretty bad. Eri also looks pretty tired. And wtf at those vomited colors at the sides? Come on people.
Redeeming factors: The actual “Naichau Kamo” kanji is pretty.
Morning Musume. – Ambitious! Yashinteki de Ii jan single (Limited Edition Featuring Michishige Sayumi)
Why it sucks: Creepy Sayumi being creepy. And what’s with her usually pretty bangs? Eri and Yossie looking like old ladies, fugly Makoto, TOO MUCH YELLOW!!!
Redeeming factors: Konkon!
Ongaku Gatas – 1st GOODSAL album (Limited Edition)
Why it sucks: FLOATING HEADS SUCK! It’s such a horrible concept and it looks horrible with them pasted around that ugly logo. Too much orange, again.
Redeeming factors: Konkon and Mano!
Berryz Kobo – Anata Nashi de wa Ikite Yukenai single (CD)
Why it sucks: Young Berryz Kobo trying to be “hip & gangster” is fail in every way possible. Not only do the outfits fail, but those white blocks with that pink outline just scream CHEAP.
Redeeming factors: Skinny Risako.
Morning Musume. – AS FOR ONE DAY single (CD)
Why it sucks: Eck, more of these square things. Outfits suck and orange will always be an ugly color.
Redeeming factors: At least the members look pretty.
Morning Musume. – Furusato single (CD)
Why it sucks: MOAR FLOATING HEADS! D= Make it stoooop! That and ugly hairstyles+make-up. Oh and Yasuda. D=
Redeeming factors: That heart thing under Abe.
ZYX – Iku ZYX! FLY HIGH single (CD)
Why it sucks: 10 year olds should never try to be cool and hipster. Mari maybe, little Momoko NO. Oh god @ Erika.
Redeeming factors: Their faces are at least pretty.
S/mileage – Otona ni Narutte Muzukashii!!! (CD)
Why it sucks: Although the outfits were a hit, the background and clutter of random objects messes it all up. Ayaka with popcorn, Kanon flying around? idgi
Redeeming factors: Like I said, the outfits.
Buono! – Renai♥Rider single (Limited Edition)
Why it sucks: Something funky going on with the lighting or make-up to make them look sick and pale. Awkward heart being cut off, candy background and overall crowded thanks to the logos.
Redeeming factors: Airi.
Morning Musume. – Second Morning album (CD)
Why it sucks: A twist on the “floating heads” concept! This time disguised with a yummy pool. Their faces all look crappy here and it’s their worst album cover ever.
Redeeming factors: The heart again!
There’s plenty more cover failures out there. Excluding Ayumi, any covers that you hate?
I can’t believe Happy Summer Wedding didn’t make this list. It is the absolute worst picture that I have EVER seen of the girls. >.<
Lol, I agree, it is also one of the worst H!P covers, but the floating heads took priority here. xD

and Oogoe Diamond’s cover is pretty fail too, I would agree with that.
my least favorite covers? Aa!’s First Kiss Airi’s expression is absolutely PAINFUL. actually Miyabi and Reina’s too but Airi’s is probably the worst T.T and I like Airi.
News’ Akaku Moruyu Taiyou. Both versions. I don’t know WHAT they were thinking with those covers. and their Kibou~Yell – Limited Edition cover. THOSE OUTFITS.

I agree with you that Second Morning is like frosted poop in a pool.
I hate pretty much every Acid Black Cherry cover because the vocalist is the biggest creeper since Creepy McCreeperson.
Never hated (at least extremely) any covers but let’s see: Stephanie, Angela Aki, and MiChi.
Really, you didn’t like that cover for Naichau Kamo? I thought the seperation was good. But I wish Niigaki, JunJun, LinLin, Ai and/or Aika.
But I agree with you on Ambitious! Yashinteki de Ii jan single, why does one person get the spotlight, I knew there was a Reina one and I didn’t know there was Sayumi one, that just looks terrible.
