My Morning Musume Story
Anyone who knows me will know that I have a HUGE love for a certain J-Pop group. Not only are they my favorite group of singers, but also my favorite artist of all time under ANY condition. I love these girls so much, that I feel the need to tell everyone how I lost my life to them.
I am in love with Morning Musume and this is my story. *epic music start*
It all started around 4 years ago, around the same time that I REALLY got into J-Pop.
My first contact with Momusu was before this actually where I had Go Girl ~Koi no Victory~ on my mp3(upon a few others, I think[The☆Pea~ce! and maybe Happy Summer Wedding]). I never gave much attention to it, it was a fun typical Japanese song sung by a few girls(never did I think it would be more than 10).
Moving forward to 4 years ago(from now), I saw a certain Morning Musume PV on TV. It was none other than their VERY old classic, Koi no Dance Site.
I ignored it at first, but after it showing up repeatedly, I finally decided to Wikipedia this peculiar girl group known as “Morning Musume”.
That’s when I finally found what I had been looking for my entire life. A ton of beautiful, talented girls singing and dancing to catchy music. It was like heaven. <3
Well, and this too~
When I started downloading their entire discography, knowing the members, watching their PV’s, etc… Makoto and Konkon has JUST graduated from the group and their upcoming release was none other than the fan favorite Aruiteru. Starting from here, I began to follow the girls more closely, awaiting their releases and PV’s.
Oh how innocent were those days when I didn’t have a deep hate for Miss Wonky and Bitchisige and Yoshizawa was still leader…
It’s been a long time since then and lots of important stuff has happened, Yossie, Miki and Koha GTFO’ing, 8th gen, Elder Club graduation, #1 singles, LAX and millions more. Not to mention stuff within H!P in general.
No matter what people think these days, my love for this group is as strong as it’s ever been and even if all my favorites were to suddenly graduate for no reason except to ruin my life(Eri, Junlin and Aika leaving? Let’s not even mention what will happen), I’d still be in love with the group(slightly less ofc, but still in love).
Here goes to 4 years of Morning Musume in my life. What’s your Momusu story?

Ehhh… I don’t have much of a story with them :/ I just saw that Buono! did the OPs and EDs for Shugo Chara! and I wikipedia’d them, and that’s where I found them and all the other groups.
OMG was Morning Musume your first group to listen to in J-Pop? And 4 years ago? No, this must be a coincidence. I got into them in September 2006 and the first song I found was Sakura Mankai.

Oh no, I think I’ll definitely write about Morning Musume, they are the first Asian group to pull me into Asian music (although I do remember listening to Koda Kumi’s Real Emotion beforehand but still…), plus I think it’s a strange concidence that it is both our first group to listen to in J-Pop and 4 years ago too.
But what month was it for you?
Not much a story but I’ve first came across Morning Musume since 1999 (yes I’m an old J-pop fan) around when they first debuted I think. I don’t know how many generations they’ve been through but I haven’t payed much attention to them since 2007 ish. They’ve changed so much I don’t even recognise them now.
