Kylee – missing / IT’S YOU
My all time favorite little rocker chick is back and better than ever! After the surprise that was the R&B direction she took in her last a-side Kimi ga Iru Kara, Kylee returns to her roots for this single and has only improved with time.
missing is the first a-side of the single and I absolutely love it. I’ve always said that Kylee’s forte are these edgier, serious rock songs and that is just what this track is. Her vocals accompanied with the fast-paced drums and various other rock elements are a pleasure to hear every time. However, I do have one small complaint. Since her major debut, Kylee now sings in Japanese(of course, theres still lots of English in her lyrics) and with this song it’s very evident that she still has a lot of improving to do with her pronunciation. Even so, it’s nothing too distracting.
I’m personally not a big fan of Kylee’s upbeat / “happier” songs(only because she does the opposite so much better) but I gotta admit that IT’S YOU is dang catchy. The song features a lighter and fresher arrangement and Kylee’s slightly more playful vocals. Loved this one.
Just Go is the singles b-side and is a throw-back to her indie songs since it’s completely in English. The risky vocals and rushing chorus are awesome and the song hasn’t a single flaw, although it might be another “rock track”.

missing / IT’S YOU is Kylee’s 2nd major single and it was released on July 7, 2010. It reached #34 on the Oricon Weekly Charts and has sold 2,717 copies.
