Goddess Returns Flawlessly and Classy
Utada Hikaru, other wise known as the flawless, perfect Queen of J-Pop just left all J-Pop lovers shaking and crying with the release of only a preview of a new song she has recorded for a PSPSI NEX commercial.
The song is a cover of “Hymne a l’amour ~愛のアンセム~”(apparently a very damn good French song) and will be featured on her upcoming best album “SINGLE COLLECTION VOL. 2″ which comes out November 24(as in, too long from now).
YOU UTADA FANS PREPARE FOR MULTIPLE EARGASMS AND NEWBIES, HAVE A LISTEN AT WHAT REAL J-MUSIC IS
The song will be featured on her best album and they say that their will also be a Japanese version. If this is true, and if both are featured on her best, this leaves us to only 3 new songs. Knowing how lazy Hikki is, this is probably the case~ The song has both Japanese and French lyrics.
Now while you loop that short piece of heaven for the rest of the day, let’s take a look at how Utada is doing. Oh right, SHE’S BEING PERFECT AND CLASSY~

This Utada update has made my day, for real. I was getting sick and tired of Ayu-Kuu-Ayu-Kuu-Namie-Kuu+Ayu-Ayu-Ayu. Definitely needs more Hikki in there~
ARE YOU NOT FUCKING EXCITED?!

I am very fuckin’ excited thank you very much.
*cheers in insane manner*
The goddess is back =] <3
I am very excited. I got to see her concert in NYC in January and waited in 12 degree cold for four hours to get in, in just my converse sneakers. I thought I got frostbite, but it was worth it! After the show I gave her, as she ran out of the stage door to her waiting car, a packet of Quaker Oats Apple & Cinnamon Oatmeal on which I wrote “An incredibly beautiful song”.. hope it made her smile… she was probably all “wtf”??? Anyway I hope this isn’t just a last send-off before she goes away for a long time and has decided to stick around. The world needs Hikki!
Hmmm…Utada has given me frostbite with this and have to give this French song cover a big thumbs down. Please…not anything close to *true* j-music…heck its a cover of a French song for Ayumi-sakes. Sorry I have to be negative but Utada can do better…or atleast she used to be better than this…travesty.
But what exactly is “true” J-Music these days? :l “Pop” stopped being a genre a long time ago when Ayu started making electro songs and adopting pop-rock as her base genre and not to mention the reign of Nishino Kana and BENI.
I’ve never listened to the original song, so this is entirely new material for me and since Utada is known to tackle all types of genres(and pull them off flawlessly), I’m more than willing to accept it.
Not close to true J-Music? Sounds like some flop’s butthurt that our flawless queen hasn’t made another Kingdom Hearts theme yet~ Go back to your floppy singing seiyuu’s if you want your ~TRUE J-MUSIC~, leave the good stuff to people who can appreciate it for what it is plz.
Your directed attacks are unwarranted, I do appreciate it for what it is…a *cover*…. How lazy can you get to do a cover and not an original? I’d love to here her do a new original ballad or non-pop oriented song. Is it classy just because its French?
ps. my bottom feels fine.
FLAWLESS QUEEN IS RIGHT. <3333
I'm totally psyched for the new songs. I'll HAVE to scrape up enough money to buy this collection. S/mileage's first album? I don't care (okay, that's a lie, but I'm not buying a physical copy). Morning Musume's 11th ablum? I could REALLY CARE LESS. <3
Sounds really strange to me. O.o
I’m still upset she will be on hiatus on 2011 though she does deserve it.
