C-ute Fierces It Up, Again

So bad-ass group C-ute released the PV for their new single Kiss me Aishiteru only yesterday and it already has over 100,000 views. Seems C-ute has gotten pretty popular online ever since Chisato started getting a million views on her videos, etc. You know it’s mentionable when your PV has more views than Momusu’s(that’s not really an achievement anymore though).

Now as for the PV, I’m a fan. It’s kind of your typical H!P stuff with the fancy camera angles, the dance and close-up shots but for some reason I like it more than usual. It’s probably the good-ness of the song(that makes three awesome C-ute singles in a row!) and the outfits that I have grown to like(not love). Or maybe it’s all the camel toe that the wota’s are dying to get a glimpse at. Just sayin’.

Honestly though I’m just ~slightly~ disappointed with the line distribution since I thought Chisato was going to be the center(no, I don’t count being  one of the three main leads as her “breakthrough”). Sure, it’s definitely an improvement, but I was expecting more. Is it that hard to let go of Airi even just a little but, Tsunku?

What also sucks is that now Saki and Maimai are the only two “back-row” chicks of the group and now Saki lost her middle/center spot with Airi and Maimi in the choreography. Well, until the next single anyway~

Oh and C-ute has a new album for March 23rd called “Chou WONDERFUL!6″! Hopefully it doesn’t suck~

Because Mano beauty is never NOT relevant.

What are your thoughts on the new C-ute PV?

I love the song and the outfits but my only complaints was the fact that Chisato’s ‘lead’ verse is in the middle so when they do the short version she won’t get to sing as much :(
And the fact that Airi looks like she has a raging boner the whole song is a bit discomforting O.O
Other than that I love it!

Honestly, I think this song paves the way for Chisato getting her Yurina moment soon :P I think when the dance shot comes out we’ll be able to see her center time more.

    But fuck yeah. This rules.

It’s nice to see Tsunku finally giving some other girls their center time, even though Yurina is getting it just because of her tall-ness. ;D

Actually…i like this song A LOT..can’t stop..XD…not a fan of the pants..seems out of place…the jacket is nice though XD I like how c-ute is more like a group now compared to last time..but at the same time..i hated how maimi is losing her importance big time to airi and chisato…: \…yea..i like maimi most..that might be why. But as a whole..i like this pv better than dance de bakoon’s…i like tihs set up(background and line distribution) more than “shock!”‘s XD

Even though Dance de Bakoon had cool green screen work(I think I’m the only who’s a fan of those LED lights), the camera angles and solo/trio/duo shots were awkward. I prefer this PV too. :3

  5. I loved it ^^

About Chissa, little by little, last year we wanted only more than 2 lines for Chisato, now she has 2 solo lives (2nd solo live february 13 ^^), she is main vocalist here with the AirixMaimi, 4 solo songs on i-tunes, 1 PB, 1 solo DVD (sold out), she is selling very well, she is the most popular on youtube, she has her own solo CD, they did the DVD for the 1st solo live………….

But as someone said, when they sing short version Chissa´s main part will disappear lol, but still she will have awesome lines

Now she is singing, too late for her rivals, 4 years of advantage were enough xD

I love Chisato. And I love this song. In fact it’s the first song that I’ve instantly liked since Namida no Iro (Wow, a good 3 years ago!!)

I love the song, so glad that UFA are producing better songs for these girls now. HATE the outfits even more now that someone noticed that Airi had a boner.

I’m just hoping that their album is better than Shocking 5, and that UFA are gonna step it up with the promotion of this single. no reason why it shouldn’t get more than SKE (especially since SKE’s are too generic)

Oh shut up, SKE48 got nothing to do with this. They’re releasing Banzai Venus a week after Berryz Kobo’s Heroine ni Narou Ka. And in any case its up to the management to promote the group and both have different management. If you wanna make a complaint make it about UFA not the idol groups out there who pose a threat. Truth be told Banzai Venus kicks the ass out of this single as an overall package. With this its 50/50 chance you’ll like it with singles for SKE48 (or any 48 group for that matter) you always have more options b/c there are more coupling tracks.

UFA needs to learn 2 songs won’t bring in single sales anymore people want more variety. Yes if comparing the a-sides then Kiss Me Aishiteru could be considered superior to Banzai Venus (cough*dream on*cough) but since Kiss Me Aishiteru only has one other song you can enjoy the single overall becomes yet another failure. At the very least more songs on the single make people want to buy more versions/copies.

Your next New Year’s resolution should be to stop blaming the competition for an artist’s failure.

Honestly the sales might just add up for a change. I’d be happy for them if they did. I actually love the idea of a Airi, Maimi, Chisato dominated C-ute. Hagiwara and Nakajima just don’t have it. Hagiwara’s voice is still ridiculously high pitched to the point where you can only stand so much of her and Nakajima is just not confident enough a singer for a lead role she’s meant to be a minor vocalist. I wish Murakami was still around b/c then C-ute could have 4 leads like Berryz Kobo.

C-ute definitely gets the short end of the stick for the first half of the year though what with Heroine ni Narou Ka being a milestone single for Berryz Kobo and Morning Musume having new members to show off. And then Mano Erina desperately needs all the help UFA can give her for sales and S/mileage is still new and hot and just won an award so they simply must show them off so there’s just nothing for C-ute in terms of promotion this time. Still it’s majorly fucked up how they got Berryz Kobo a t.v performance 2 days after Kiss Me Aishiteru’s release.
